Grant Professionals Association (GPA) and Willamette Valley Development Officers (WVDO) presented our second regional grants conference, Building Equity and Impact through Foundation Funding, on September 28, 2018. We were delighted to have keynote speaker Hanif Fazal of the Center for Equity and Inclusion speak to the theme of this year's conference.
GPA would like to thank the local and regional funders who participated on the funder panels or workshops, including representatives from Meyer Memorial Trust, Oregon Community Foundation, Ford Family Foundation, U.S. Bank, MRG Foundation, and PGE Foundation. Additionally, this day of learning would not be possible without the workshop presenters who produced engaging content and the conference committee volunteers who helped with planning workshops and logistics.
Oregon Community Foundation provided $1,000 for GPA's first Equity Impact Grant. In conjunction with the 2018 conference and an open application process, we awarded $500 each to Brown Hope and Verde to help build equity for communities of color in Oregon. Thank you OCF!
